Apple says a "small number" of iPhone Duo units have inner-screen defects after reports of cracks and bright lines near the hinge, and advises affected customers to contact AppleCare for replacements.
The iPhone Duo, which went on sale Oct 23, represents Apple’s first foray into foldable phones.
While the problem appears to affect only a subset of units, it represents an embarrassing setback for Apple, which spent more than a decade developing the device.
Apple on Monday said it was aware of the issue and that it would replace the devices under its AppleCare warranty.
