CoinDCX warns of a phishing campaign with fake emails and notifications, raising fresh questions about user data security days after its $16M loss admission.
Nearly $16M on CoinDCX’s deprecated address came from one wallet in 88 transfers, raising fresh questions about the exchange’s sweep failure explanation.
The Mumbai-based exchange initially dismissed reports of suspicious outflows as a false alarm. It now says it lost $16 million and will absorb the loss.
The exchange said the loss was absorbed by the company and customer funds remained unaffected.
