Thousands of trucks remain stranded as partial Iran-Pakistan trade resumes after border closure.
Pakistan reopened the Gabd-Rimdan border crossing with Iran to resume trade after a week-long shutdown that stranded trucks and disrupted LPG supplies.
Resumption of operations in the Gabd-Rimdan crossing is expected to ease LPG shortage and reduce food and energy prices
Traders said the price of a 12 kg LPG cylinder had risen to 7,000 Pakistani rupees ($25) from 4,500 rupees ($16) within days and could climb further if the disruptions persist.
